For those attempting to help Sonya...have been working on this on my own Thread.........and it begins to look as though the original research was correct.......the only bugbear is there is no marriage for George marsden and Emma M Storey................which almost certainly took place, if at all..in London, because Emma was born in St. Pancras and all the children were born in London..so the marriage to Esther Wright is way out of the window..as is every other George Marsden i have found in Derbyshire...... |

Yes that is correct for 1871 and it continues through like that til 1901. BUT NO MARRIAGE!!! so no parents for George. |

I wonder if Derek could have a look for me. Some time ago I contacted him and he agreed that my results regarding George Marsden (1843 or 1836 according to census) from Bakewell Derbyshire was correct. However I now find that his parents could not be John Marsden and Elisabeth Singleton as their son George married an Esther Wright and had a family in the North whilst my George worked as a cab driver in Westminster London and married Emma Storey from St Pancras. |
