Thats really strange as I had a 1911 Census found for me and it states Caroline EllisHead Widow born Limerick Ireland
James Ellis Son Born1898 Birm
Arthur Ellis Son Born 1900 Birm

But the one you have found sounds right as James Ellis Head was born Osett Yorkshire
Anyway any idea where Lois Ellis is living born 1906 Sheffield

The census with James Ellis (Head) that tempest has posted is 1901 census and not the 1911 one.

Sorry about that I missed read the 1901 Census Thankyou.
Going back to the 1911 Census ,so James Ellis born 1870 Osett Yorkshire. has now died .

The person I am looking for on 1911 Census is Lois Ellis born Sheffield 1906

I posted the 1901 as background to see if it named any other children in the hope that it would also help to find Lois.

As you can see it doesn't help!

any idea of the name of the other child who was still alive in 1911 please?

Rose Ellis 12/7/1907 - 1983.Sheffield married Frank Pilkington but her parents were Charles Frederick Ellis 1871 and Minnie 1877 nee carrott according to a tree on Ancestry.
They are together on 1911 census in Sheffield.

The tree with Lois on says she married John Mason 1893- 1950 and had a son.

Caroline theresa Holloway born 10/10/1873 in Limerick to William and Mary Ann (Loughnane)

the tree I'm looking at on ancestry doesn't have any marriage details for Rose, James or Arthur only for Lois

it's owned by mne41, it says

Lois was born 14.4.1906 Sheffield
James in Birmingham 2.2.1898
Arthur in Birmingham abt 1900
Rose abt 1907 Sheffield

Did Caroline marry Mr Ellis??

Caroline T Holloway married 1913 Birmingham to Edward Phillips.

Caroline T Phillips born @ 1874 died 1965 Birmingham.

It was another tree who had Rose Ellis marrying Frank Pilkington/Pilkinton.

Are you sure Rose or Lois belonged to Caroline?

I havnt acsses to Ancestry .co.uk,so is there any more info on the Tree you have found.
I know when Caroline T.Holloway was born ,also when her parents were married ,as I managed to Find William Holloway Army and it states He Married Mary Ann Loughnane In Ireland,(when i visited the Local Librury.)

1891 Census Caroline is living Newton House Sleaford Lincs as a Kitchen Maid.

1901 She is wife to James Ellis born 1870 Oscett Yorkshire,but I have never found a marriage on BMD.

1911 Census Caroline T Ellis is a Widow .

The contact stated that Lois Ellis is his Grandmother ,but that is all I know .
