Hi John - welcome to the boards.

If you were to re-post this on Find Ancestors (then delete this thread) you are sure to get some help. (That has been done).

Perhaps when you do re-post, you could make it clear who your grandfather is please ie Daniel Owen? - he has got lost in the text.

You may now go and delete your thread on Gen Chat.

Update to my previous posting -
Hounslow Registration district did cover Chiswick so seems a very likely death ref for him

I don't think the birth that Sherlock posted is the right one - see death below. Also, Daniel married under just Daniel (no middle name).
Can you tell us please John how you found out that Daniel's parents were David and Mary Ann without having Daniels birth cert? Also, how you know that they moved to Aberdare, then Chiswick and back?

Working backwards - Have you got your mothers birth cert and do you have your grandparents marriage cert and did they marry in Dudley in 1930?

Deaths Dec 1906
Owen Daniel Morgan 0 Merthyr T. 11a 435

John Grant Report 17 Jul 2011 14:12

daniel left children moved to chiswick in 1945 ish he left louise behind who he married in dudley maiden name kinchin they went back to merthyr tydfil aberdare area had few children then daniel left and went to chiswick area for rest life .
mother got call he was very ill around 1980 to 1985 but no one saw him again he was said to have gone back to wales bit who nos the list by flick is him and brothers and sisters,i was told no middle name.
just cant find his death anywhere

Janice Report 17 Jul 2011 14:23

If you aren't sure he went back to Wales, then that Hounslow death fits very well and it's the right reg district. 1983 fits the date range you have too.

Shirley~I,m getting the hang of it Report 17 Jul 2011 15:29

As i have just stated on your thread on General Board (which you should now delete please) theres NO deaths listed for Merthyr Tydfil. he may have wanted to return there but didnt make it!! .The death i posted covers Chiswick area so seems VERY likely to be him.

she is listed a Louie not Louise
Name: Daniel Owen
Spouse Surname: Kinchin

Shirley~I,m getting the hang of it Report 17 Jul 2011 15:37

Christine2

Christine2 Report 17 Jul 2011 16:01

That looks like a good bet Shirley, maybe the registrar misheard. I can't see a likely Daniel Owens in 1911.

John Grant Report 17 Jul 2011 16:21

yes was spelling mistake her name louise she was 4 years older than daniel when married in 1930.
just a question can a person when dead be buried and rough details kept and thats it

Shirley~I,m getting the hang of it

Shirley~I,m getting the hang of it Report 17 Jul 2011 16:36

Well !! if you get the death cert it will give the death details including hopefully the home address of the deceased, and the informant . Sometimes if you contact the parks & cemeteries dept of the local council they can give you the burial/cremation details,
