Find Ancestors

Thanks for all the info. I am slightly confused....how can Josiah (1786) and Francis (1783) be children of Joseph or Josiah in the 1861 census. In the 1861 census Josiah (1786) is living with wife Nancy, aged 85 & 86. I have info about Josiah Dean (1786) I am struggling with his parents generation. I apologise if I have misunderstood your info would you kindly explain further :-)

Oops sorry I have looked on ancestry, find my past and genes reunited, not sure where else to look.

Sorry, Rebecca, I should have been more precise. I meant which websites...........and/or the County Records Office.

I've looked at baptism and marriage records around the area of Burslem, Endon, Norton in the Moors, Leek and then in Staffordshire as a whole. I've spent hours looking. I've gone over existing info that I have to make sure I'm on the right track which I seem to be but come to a stop when looking for Josiah Dean's parents.

Where have you looked?

Does anyone know who Josiah Dean's (born 1786 & died 1874) parents were? I cannot find this info any where......please help.
