I know its a bit later than the 1944 your looking for but my mother was born in London possibly Tooting possibly Chelsea 16/11/1953 with the surname Ann MacGurk. Her brothers were called Kenneth & Dennis. I think they had changed their name to Mears by the time I was born in 1973 when they lived in New Haw Surrey. My mothers mother was called Rose, don't know if any of this means anything if so let me know, Rob |
