Evelyn...Have looked at the Register and I suggest it is "your " Bridget.....

I cannot see another Bridget Kennedy who died on the same date at the same place of the same age...There may have been a mis-transcribing in the Burial Register as to her marital status.
If she was buried from St John's Hospital then that would be what the Burial Register would show.

I found it on Irish genealogy have attached it to my keepsafe which I made viewable by all

Evelyn.....She may have died in Hospital and that St John's would be "Place of Death" if you have her death record where did you get it from and can you scan it onto keepsafe ?

Not sure if it's the right one as on her death record which I have found it says widow and she was a retired midwife living at 64 Catherine street. I can't quite make out the names of hospital think it says St. John's. I have a picture of Thomas Broughton across at that cemetery. ??

This is the only Brid.Kennedy I can find who died in 1960...
As you can see she died in St John's General Hospital and is buried in Mount St Lawrence Cemetery.

She was stated as married at the date of her death so must have predeceased John if it is in fact your Brid.

Hi me again. Do you know if you can find out where someone is buried. Bridget Broughton nee Ryan remarried in 1928 to a john Kennedy who apparently traveled to the U.S. Apparently my mum was told he was related to JFK?? Don't know if that was true. Bridget died in 1960. She lived in Catherine street limerick at time of death. My mum said she has a memorial card with her picture on that she lost. Hoping to try and trace it. Can't find a grave for her though.

On the birth registration form there is a column headed Name and Surname and Dwelling-place of Father so probably James Boughton was At Sea when Bridget was born as Eringobragh 1916 suggests in the above post.

I suggest that the transcription from Family Search posted by Tiggits relating to Brid Broughton is or has been mis trans.....

I don't recall seeing any "fathers birthplace" on their site in the years I have used it ( would make life so much easier !!)...that being said I think it could well have been Askeaton and not "At Sea" equally it could be relative to James being "at sea " when Brid was born..
I cannot find a Baptism for Bridget on or anywhere near the date in question be it in Limerick or anywhere else on the Island of Ireland.

Hmmm I wonder why it said that then on her baptism record. That James Broughton on navy list is 2 years older than one on 1911 census. Unless he lied about his age. On 1901 census it said he was born in 1949.
