I have paid for the platinum membership and have put in all the male members of my family that served in the armed forces at various times and every single one has come up with zero results. Seems strange that I can find none of them in any military records on this site.

Unfortunately, GR isn't the best site for researching records.
Most of the helpers on here use FindMyPast or Ancestry as our main sources of information - both subscription sites.

Having said that, WW2 records are generally not online, and about 70% of WW1 records have not survived.

If you like to give us some names and dates, we'll have a look for you.

If you post all of your relatives names and Service numbers (if known), I will search Fold3, which is the military specific sister site of Ancestry, for results.

There are service records available from The National Archives for the REME and smaller units/corps of the British Army during the Second World War

The Corps of Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers [1942-1963]
Army Air Corps Royal [1939-1963]
Army Veterinary Corps
Royal Military Police (or Corps of Military Police)
Royal Army Pay Corps
Royal Army Physical Training Corps
Military Provost Staff Corps
Royal Corps of Army Music
Royal Army Education Corps
Royal Pioneer Corps
Intelligence Corps
Officer Training Corps
Non-Combatant Corps [1939-1963]

Other sites are far better for searching for info. The only real benefit of GR is the help freely given by other paying members
