Try the National archives to see if his records have been scanned We know that the transcription comes from WO 10/1819.

He enlisted at the age of 21, served from 1st July 1826 to 10th Oct 1843, a total of 17 yrs 102 days. he served in Gibralter 4th May 1828 to 3rd November 1840, the rest of his service was at Home.

He was discharged because of a disease of the left testicle as stated in a medical board dated 8th Sept 1843.

Although his character is recorded as very good, he forfeited 14 days of pensionable sevice because of imprisonment (26th Aug 1834- 8th Sept 1834)

He was in possesion of two good conduct marks.

When he was discharged he was 37 years, 5ft 9 in, light hair, gray eyes, fresh complexion. A Spinner by trade.

He was a spinner by trade at the time of his enlistment.
