I am looking for more information about my Great Grandfather John Thomas Darren. The only info I've found so far is as follows:

WW1 Military Service Records

Military Company/Regiment: York and Lancaster Regiment

Military Battalion 3/5th Battalion

Any information about the above will be much appreciated, or do you have a family connection with John Thomas?

Not sure exactly what info you are look for. Was he married to a Mary. This from Ancestry:

The above record shows that he joined in Feb 1900, served in South Africa and was discharged 26 Jun 1902.

Wife: Mary, 8 Spring Close?. Barnsley

From his son, Walter's, Service record, that address is 48 Spring Street.

Are you just looking for his Military Service or are you trying to go further back? this is the family in 1911:
