Do you have any other details about James? Approx yob?

Is this in connection to a relationship?

As there are no TABIB birth on the England/Welsh gro index prior to 1963, which country did he originate from? Because of the " " around James, was this an Anglised version of his forname?

There is a marriage in Hackney reg, 1966 for a YERUHAM TABIB. Might that be relevant?

Welcome to the Community Boards Martine.

(I'll let Martine know how to find her replies) :-)

Meanwhile, if the name mentioned by DET is correct, I found this in the London Gazette 1969.

Tabib, Yeruham; Israel; 170 Brooke Road, London E.5. 24th June 1969.

Not quite sure what the entry is Cyns. Possibly application for or granting of UK citizenship?

Without any other clues, we may never find him

Hi, sorry I've just seen your messages and it then made me realise that I'd mis-typed the name! it should be TALIB :-S . I'm adopted and is my birth father.

The RC refers to his "rank(?)" in the British Army.

how do I delete this? i'll restart another thread with the proper details on it :-(

On the same line as your name on the first post

Click on Delete. You will be prompted that by deleting your opening post, the whole thread will disappear. That's what you'd like to happen :-D

If you have further details gleaned from your adoption file, then add that to a new thread. It might be better to start the new one on Find Living Relatives rather than Military Chat.
