Please excuse me if spelling is off but i has eye surgery on Friday.im looking for a Frank Lawson Smart born April 2/1901 in Kirriemuir Angus Scotland but lived at 3B Castle Str. He was in World War 2 ground crew responsible for barrage balloons as an instructor. His trade was eginee er - Mechanic. I don't have any other information. May have been with RAF or intelligence Corps according to a Muster Roll of 1941. Thankyou

WW2 records are still with the MOD and are not online. Look here to see how to apply for them:-

They will cost £30 and take several months (or even up to 9 months) to arrive.

If he was a civilian instructor would there be some kind of record or information on him during World War 2.
