Hi,I'm trying and hoping to find Teresa and Peter lacy,brother and sister.Both born in Watford in the 70s I believe.There father Peter lacy mother Sally Ann cope.who are no longer together.I would love to find them as been trying for a year now,as believe we are related.Any help or information would be very grateful.thank you

Have you tried the most obvious first step on here.............looking in 'search all member trees'?

Only 1 Peter W Lacy born since 1930 and possibly 2 marriages 1993 Scarborough to Fox and 1999 Nottinghamshire to Henson

There is a Nottingham birth Lacy/Fox same year as marriage and 1 in 1995, both Nottingham - both can be found on the gro site inputting mmn

The second marriage may well have not had children as I think the surname IS her maiden name

Try 192.com for both children in Nottingham - ER's on there show possibilities although not completely up to date.

and also look at Electoral Registers / Companies House Directors on here.


Only 1 Teresa J Lacy born since 1940

A Teresa J Lacy married in Norwich 2003. They are on ER's/Companies house lists on here in Essex. Use her first name and initial with maiden name which shows husband with her 2002/04, then use his name to get more up to date info.

I have found out its Teresa jean lacy born July 1970 Watford,
Her brother Peter William lacy born April 1973
father Peter g lacy born 1945
Mother Sally Ann cope born 1942
They married I believe in 1969,but went there own ways come late 70s
I have messaged Teresa on here,waiting to see if I get a reply which would be amazing.if anyone can help with anymore information,or on other ways of contacting them that would be great

There's an address for the 2003 husband in Essex, up to 2016, on Ancestry.
The property has not been sold since then, according to Zoopla and Rightmove.

On the ERs here on GR, he's at an Essex address, presumably the same one as above, up to 2020.
Teresa is listed with him up to 2011.
That doesn't necessarily mean she's not with him now - she has probably opted out of the public ER, as her husband has presumably also done .

The same address is on the Companies House Register, as mentioned by Greyghost

I have found the address for Teresa now.so any advice would be great.
Do I write her a letter,I know if sounds a silly question but never don't this before so any help would be grateful.

You can write her a letter - but depending on what you think your relationship might be, you need to be extremely careful.

If the relationship involves an illegitimate birth, which she may not know about, your letter might result in a great deal of upset and heart-ache for all those involved.

The family member concerned may never have told anyone about it, and not want their family to know, or (if male) may be unaware of it themselves.

Even if that's not the case, there's the possibility that she may think your letter is some sort of elaborate scam.

If you do write, and she doesn't reply, just leave it at that. There could be all sorts of reasons why she might not want to pursue the matter.

That's one thing I don't want to do is cause problems or upset.I'm not sure if she knows about me.only new about her a year ago.it's a very hard situation and difficult to know what to do.but thank you for your advice has made me think more about it before I do anything.
