Right I think I have cleared up the dates with carman , I found an old newspaper article which stated Kathleen Madams had been taken to court for not registering the birth of a child born 18th November 1946 so maybe after the court case she registered carman in 1947 by the time she had done it I think both dates showing are for the same Carman meaning that she has passed , thanks for all your help

If Kathleen was using that name, wouldn't the birth be also as Mondaye?

And I would have thought that an original entry for 10c 763 (before any amendment) should also show up - but it doesn't.

There's a Bowman/Burke marriage in Newcastle in 1942, and the birth of a Robert C Bowman, mms Burke, in Halifax in 1944.

Also a John D Burke, mms Burke, in Lancaster in 1941.

I've no idea if any of those are connected or not.

However, in spite of all that -

Carmen's 1971 marriage has her both as Carmen and as Tina C.

The names are unique though and the marriage cert shows her maiden Christian name,but using mums maiden name. And the name she was known by

Both daughters show mmn as the other surname she was using

Think whoever reg the death just had the wrong birthdate

The death says she was born 18 Nov 1946 so the quarter doesn't tie in with this birth:

Information about age on a death cert is only as good as the informant's knowledge or belief - not necessarily accurate.

As that Carmen married as Mandaye, which is an unusual name, it seems very likely that she is the correct person.

Thanks for all the replies yes I know of her other brothers and sisters as one of them is my father , her mother Kathleen Madams nee Mondaye did remarry to Reginald King who I knew as my grand father , when my grand mother separated from George Madams the family was split to various different people , my father is Anthony and the only sibling I have met from that time was Betty Madams the rest I’ve never met , so thank you for all the info will keep on searching

They had another daughter too born 1974 with mmn the other surname as the marriage
