Unfortunately Joan seems to be the closed record and though there appears to be the top of letters of married name, it can't be made out I don't think.

Might Joan have been the informant on her mother's death cert?

Probate record for Maud can be found for 1990 on https://probatesearch.service.gov.uk/#wills

If she didn't marry, and is still alive (or died only in the last few years) there may well be no online records for her.

Or if she emigrated, there may also be no record of her travel, especially if she flew.

Hi there, I have the info from the 1939 Register and it was her brother Cyril who was the death informant on her mothers death certificate. I have the probate record but have not yet purchased the info. I have bought a couple for other family members and have been disappointed with the content. My mum thought she married a chap called Derek and I have pictures of my mum and grandmother visiting the bakers and a picture of Joans wedding.
Thanxs for helping

Ignore the Joan E Peach who married Peatfield, her middle name does not match

Thanks everyone, I will order the marriage cert to start with. I spotted the possible death record on ancestry but the info was lacking as usual for me to order the death cert, but im in no hurry. This is one of many avenues of the tree im working on

You can order the death cert on GRO website without knowing the reference numbers. As far as I can see, all the required details are in the death record posted above.

Age at death; year death was registered (try 2009 - if GRO can't find anything, try again using 2010); surname, forenames, date of death; place of death or last known address (Bedworth).

You'll have to register (free) to use the site - but I expect you know that when you're talking about ordering the marriage cert.

That death looks to be correct. The names of the children mentioned all have MMN Baker.
