I lived next door to an Elliott family in Coleshill Warwickshire. They emigrated to Australia in 1950.
I have found the passenger list for them on the Cameronia which sailed from Glasgow 31/5/1950.
I would love to know what happened to them.
The family was -
Wilfred Edward Elliot b.1907 West Auckland Co.Durham
Harriet Elliott nee' Meek b.1923 Fillongley 1923.
Mary b.1935
Edward b.1938
Robert b.1939
Thomas b.1941
Stanley b.1943
John b.1944
Ronald b.1947

I have very vivid memories of the family.

Thank you
Sheila

Is it worth while looking at all possible ER on Ancestry, or do you already have access?

Do the children have middle names? Are they listed on the Australian National Archive under Immigration & Naturalisation? Although I've looked, the family seem to be missing

http://www.naa.gov.au/collection/search/index.aspx
Click Record search
Then the Name Search tab on the next page - it would have opened in a new tab.

Have you used the Search All Members trees - top right under search - to see if anyone has listed them in their tree?

By 1967 they've moved to 3 Surrey St, Flinders.
No Lawrence although Stanley is now also on the ER with his parents

In 1977 & 1980

19 Hargraves St., Mornington,
Wilfred has no occupation – he might have retired
The only other Elliott at the address is Harriett.

The son I listed as Edward was actually registered as Wilfred Edward. But I did not find ant other middle names.

I would have expected Stanley being at home .

As Edward is a Wilfred, this might be him although I thought the age of majority was 21 and he'd be 20? There might be another man of the same name!

Name: Wilfred Edward Elliott
Gender: Male
Electoral Year: 1968
Subdistrict: Leongatha
State: Victoria
District: Gippsland
Country: Australia

2 Milne St, with Valma Lorraine Elliott, home duties.
He was a mechanic

Ancestry don't give every ER year. What you could do is contact the Victorian Ask a Librarian service and ask them to give you the names of the registered electorate in the intervening years.

The aim is to discover if any of the children married, but lived with their parents. It isn't possible to search Ancestry by address only meaning is wouldn't throw up the names of married daughters at the same address.

Elliott is a fairly common name, unfortunately!

Ask Mornington Cemetery to give you what details they can for W E Elliotts entry on the burial register - Although they wouldn't give you an address, they might have a name for who arranged it.

Actually, ask about Harriett as she died later.
