Hi thanks Rose.
Well I haven't got anything to lose by getting it out there. As I gather snippets of info I will update the post. The reason I came across this was by putting Gambin into the search forum thread so I know from that there is no mention of Gambin on this forum (yet) and maybe they will do the same but I will put the info on the adoption sites too in the next few days.
Thanks for your help
Ella :-)

It is an unusual surname, and that helps if he was mentioned on any adoption files and they come looking.

If they happen to Google his name they will come across this thread.

It is very unlikely that your half siblings will just stumble across your posting.

Having looked at FreeBMD and Ancestry, it looks as if their births were registered under their mothers' surnames. There are no Gambin births matching the dates/places/sexes you list.

Have you tried contacting any adoption tracing service?:

Welcome to the boards, Ella.

For your own safety you should remove your exact DOB from your thread - too much info for identity thieves.

I am trying to find two living half siblings but have very little information about them. My father had three relationships outside his marriage to my mother. We have found one of his sons :-) But he had a daughter and son we have not yet found. His name was James Anthony Gambin (known as Tony) from Liverpool but living in Leicester most of his adult life. He was born 19/08/39 and died 03/09/12 My name is Helen Mary Cobert (nee Gambin) and I am known as Ella. I have a brother and sister born 1968 and 1976. Dad and Mum were married in 1967. I was born in 1966. He also had a daughter in Liverpool with a lady called Veronica... the daughter was born in 1958 or 59. Thats really all I have. He was told by the family that the baby was adopted and sent away. He also had a child with Pauline and the son was born on 24th Jan 1967 in Kirby Muxloe Maternity home in Leicester. He had jet black hair and Paulines parents were elderly. He is likely to have been adopted. Its not much to go on I know but I would like to hear from you if you are my sister or brother. I hope to hear from you. Ella :-)
