Thank you for that, it gives me a lead to work on. I think I might try and get that death certificate. I wish my parents had got more details or stayed in contact at the time. When I asked my mother about it at the end of her life she couldn't remember that she had heard from a half brother. |

I always thought my mother was an only child until I found out recently that she had a half brother. She didn't even know about him until he phoned in 1961, just as my family was about to get on a plane to New Zealand. |
