Our family is looking for Anthony G Lindup who we think was adopted
He was born in 1944 September !
His mother's name was Margaret Wake ( maiden name)
His brothers and sister would like to make contact

so his mum married Mr Lindup in 1931 .

not seeing anything for Anthony other than his birth

If he was adopted, you'd need to add your name to the adoption contact register, and hope he has too

Have you searched all members trees to see if he and his parents are listed? If you don't know the tree owner, send a message to ask how they are related.

The rest of the family moved to Australia so it would appear he was left behind.

found anthony g lindup's birth he is the only birth i can find with that name

also found a marriage in 1990 but spelt lindop there is no birth with that name so wonder if this could be the anthony you are looking for

hopefully Julie will return ...


there are various possible speculations given the dates and sequence and locations of the births

... the baby could have had a disability that was beyond the parents' ability to cope

... the father might have been in the military in WWII and ... (Julie mentions only his mother's name)


perhaps Julie can say what the brothers and sister know about that time in the family's life

if they 'think he was adopted' this must mean he was never spoken of? so the siblings learned of his birth only from ...?
