Jacqueline Report 24 Jul 2015 10:34

Have you looked for a re-marriage for Carol?

Jacqueline

Jacqueline Report 24 Jul 2015 10:35

Your post implies that her husband was Elliott, but this isn't borne out by records.

Can you please clarify

That's what I found........

Tracey

Tracey Report 24 Jul 2015 11:01

her mother was called dorothy h clarke /clark as shows on differant certs she first married a victor ellawayhad a son derek but she then remarried in 1951 having already had carol derek name changed to brook i cant find dorothy birth

Jacqueline

Jacqueline Report 24 Jul 2015 11:25

When did Dorothy die?

You can't look for her birth until you know roughly when she was born

JoonieCloonie

JoonieCloonie Report 24 Jul 2015 18:42

since Dorothy first married Ellaway as Clarke in 1941 in Edmonton, this is most probably her birth I would guess

Births Mar 1923
Clarke Dorothy H -Berryman- Edmonton 3a 1154

and given her first husband's birth

Births Mar 1922
Ellaway Victor R Reedman St.Ives 3b 443

but there is no death as Brook to match that Dorothy Clarke birth

i think i have found a brother for david elliott a graham t elliott born in 1941 can anyone help further with this search ty x

JoonieCloonie

JoonieCloonie Report 27 Jul 2015 17:34

that birth does have the same mother's name and is in the same/right place so it is a good bet although not a certainty

(only the birth certificates would show whether the parents were the same)

the most likely marriage for that name (did you look at freebmd?) was in 1963

this is that couple's current electoral roll listing

http://tinyurl.com/pwnlycf

if you go to

http://www.freeelectoralroll.co.uk/

you can search for those two names together and find the full details of the listing

and you can also find a listing in that location at BT on line by searching for Elliott with the town name

http://www.thephonebook.bt.com/publisha.content/en/search/residential/search.publisha#

if you search at freeelectoral roll again for David's name in the same town, you will also find a listing with the correct middle initial that matches another of the Elliott listings at BT online, which seems a little coincidental to be coincidence.

Tracey Report 27 Jul 2015 17:40

hi ty for that i found the address for graham so are you saying that david is possible in the same town ty once again

Tracey

Tracey Report 27 Jul 2015 17:47

not the david as i checked the marriage and it was in 1967 but thankyou

malyon

malyon Report 27 Jul 2015 17:59

do you know how long she was married to michael oliver

Tracey

Tracey Report 27 Jul 2015 18:00

hi malyon not long i believe ty

JoonieCloonie

JoonieCloonie Report 27 Jul 2015 18:57

Tracey the 1963 marriage I referred to was for GRAHAM not David ... the names match the electoral roll listings.

Did you follow the links I provided and do the search at BT on line that I suggested?

there is a marriage for David with the right initial in 1967 in the location my post referred to, I don't know what marriage you are referring to ...

I am trying not to put too precise information here as these are living people we are talking about ... and we don't know (but are guessing) the reason for your search.

JoonieCloonie

JoonieCloonie Report 27 Jul 2015 19:13

I have just understood what you mean, the marriage for the David J in the same place as the Graham I referred to was in 1967, yes

So you seem to know when your David J married ... but you aren't telling us, and we don't know what if any connection there is between him and Carol ... in spite of a couple of questions to clarify that you haven't answered ...

Tracey

Tracey Report 27 Jul 2015 19:33

sorry just to differant people im trying to find ty for all your help x

JoonieCloonie Report 27 Jul 2015 19:41

re Carol Oliver, there is a marriage in 1974 in Brent you may want to consider

there are births with that husband's surname and mother's name Brook in Brent and Hendon following the marriage

but no obvious births with that husband's surname and mother's name Oliver

this is that couple in 2002-2005 (children's names match)

http://tinyurl.com/owlcbwt

this is very likely the same couple after 2006

http://tinyurl.com/puyqv3d

but I'm not finding more recent info

you don't have either of these people in your family tree .....

Tracey can we assume you are adopted?
