A 'lodger' probably wouldn't be on the ER at his lodgings. He'd be recorded at his permanent address

The fact that he lodged with Joyce's family in Lincs doesn't necessarily mean he was born in the county, unfortunately.

You say he lodged with your grandfather. Have you looked at old electoral rolls to see if he is listed?

Times running out...Norman Brown must be getting on in years if still alive. And Id love to meet the man who gave me life. He was with my mother Joyce in Louth 1952...she wed another. anyone knowing anything about Norman Id like very much to hear from you. Thanks ;-)
