Find Living Relatives

Am searching my relative Elsie M Robinson born around 1921 in the Ongar area of Essex. Elsie had siblings Walter, Richard, Lily, Stanley and Edward (George). I believe Elsie married a gentleman by the name of Olney in the early 1940s and they went on to have children including 2 daughters.

Have you tried using www.freebmd.co.uk to trace the births ?

Thank You for all that research much appreciated, very interested "other sister" Kathleen Rose Does this mean she could be a sister or related in another way?

Because Kathleen 1934 has the same mother's maiden name as the earlier Robinson births which Shirley posted, it is possible that they all have the same parents.

Shirley queried it as there is a gap of 8 years between her and the previous youngest 'sibling'. The only way to know for sure is to purchase both Elsie and Kathleen's BC

It is possible that Kathleen is still living, as may be some of the others- discretion is advised.

He and Elsie don't appear to have had children together? Perhaps the records have been incorrectly transcribed, or they were born outside of England/Wales.

The informant on Maurice's DC may be a relative which would be another route to follow.

I too think it a little unusual that the children were born at regular/close 2yr intervals but Kathleen arrived so much later. I would be interested in obtaining Kathleen's Birth Certificate but am unsure how to go about this as I'm completely new to all this

I know that the Elsie I'm looking for had at least two daughters with her husband as I briefly met them many years ago so think y our right the records may have been incorrectly transcribed or perhaps I've got some other info wrong

FreeBMD shows 3 possible children born to them, 2 girls and a boy. The births from 1949 onwards are most likely from the other Olney/Robinson marriage.


Elsie looks to be in a care home now.

Wow how did you find that! The last we heard about 3 yrs ago Elsie was in a care home but was unsure if still alive

Will PM the address of the Care Home. She showed on the 2014 electoral register.

Look for Olney births where the Spouse/Mother surname is Robinson.
