Have you added yourself to the Adoption Contact Register? If she is looking for birth family, she may also have done so.

https://www.gov.uk/adoption-records/the-adoption-contact-register

Have you searched all members trees to see if she is anyone's? If so, send a message asking how the tree owner is related.
With their permission, is the name of Violetta's mother/father on your tree? If she searches, thats who she'll be looking for.

If you don't have their permission (assuming they are still living) add Violetta's name anyway as your 'sister' but edit the entry to reflect her birth name.

Her birth is shown on the GRO index on FreeBmd. Create a dedicated email address on say gmail or hotmail and leave a Post'em with the contact details. If she or a current relative were to ever search, they may come across your note.

Even if you let your sub to GR lapse, always make sure your account is linked to which ever email address you use even if you change it. If someone comes across this thread in years to come, they will be able to send you a message by clicking on your name.
