Find Living Relatives

Hi there,

I'm new to this , I was fostered from age 3 months and don't know that much about my birth family. Here is what I do know,so if you think you're related to me please please get in touch ASAP ,I'd love to hear from you :-D

My mum was Debbie Cope, she was born 11th November 1963 and died on 28th December 1991/2
Her parents were Audrey and Geoffery, I think?
And she had a sister called Tina, Diane? And 2 brothers I think? But 1 of them died.

I was born on 11th Nov 1982 and have 2 sisters, 1 called Victoria and a younger sister called Rebecca Ennion/Cope.

If you get her birth certificate it will give her parents names including her mums maiden name .

You may find the birth on FreeBMD and then will see her mmn and can search for siblings using the surname combination

That looks the right parents of. Geoffrey and Audrey

The marriage is on FreeBMD for 1956. So they could still be alive

Look for births using both surnames and county Lancashire

On the face of it her mum was unmarried as mmn is also Tinsley

If you want to buy any certificates. Get them from

www.gro.gov.uk. Using the gro refs shown they cost £9.25 each inc p& p

You have to register on the site .free , then follow the order form where it asks if the GRO. Ref is known tick the box then all you have to fill in the type of cert you want. ie birth ,marriage or death. And fill in the name as its given on the record and fill in the GRO refs in the appropriate boxes . For a marriage cert you only need to put one of the names in

Well one of the family could be the informant on the grandparents death certs


If you want to try that then suggest you get nans death cert as being later death its more likely that a family member could be the informant
