Searching Electoral Rolls By Address, not name.

Hi Folks.

Is it possible to search electoral rolls by street/road names rather than by occupants ? and if so which site do you recommend using please ?

I have a couple marrying in 1988 the address they gave was in a market town in Warwickshire, a search by "name" came up with no matches, so the may have used the address of a friends/relative rather than "home" address.

it may help my research if I can find out the residents of that address, but I am having no luck trying to find a site to use, if any exists.

Any help appreciated, thank you kindly

Well electoral rolls for that time aren't online which is why you got no matches

You would need to look at the rolls at the local main library which is searchable by address

Researching:
Surname Fahse. Germany. Essex .South East London My avatar is one of our wedding photos of 1957

Go to the main library for the area, where they will have the ER's.

They are, incidentally, searchable ONLY by address.

They may have been lodging at the address in question

What are you trying to prove?

Married in 1988, they are probably alive.........any reason why you can't ask them?

Most kind folks,

It is difficult to find out exactly what records these company's data bases
actually hold, but as you say, nothing on line for the period & use the Warwick Records Office electoral rolls.
