Find Living Relatives

No luck in a list of Woodfords I have but will keep trying.

I sent a copy of a photo of my Dad and my Uncle to Des so he can see the likeness I also gave him contact numbers and email in case he has sons or daughters who would be interested in finding out more.

Well I was so excited, I did phone and Des answered. He was intrigued to think of us seeing the likeness but didn 't recognise the place where my lot came from (Bucks) He did give me his Dad's name and place of birth, Leicestershire, and said to phone again, if I could find a link or to find out more.

I do have a lot of info on Dad's wider family so will have a look later and see if I can find anyone of that name.

Once again, I will update when any further news

Thanks to the two people who contacted me during the night, I now have their address and phone number!



There is a whole list of them in the Loughborough area, not sure where they fit at the mo (if at all but with the strong likeness that attracted me and my cousin, they must be 'ours'). Des would probably be my Dad's cousin and there are several of my Dad's uncles who could be the start of this branch.

Recently on the bbc news was an item about the above elderly couple, I think it was to do with poorly carers of dementia sufferers and what happens when they don't want to go into care.

The gentleman, Des, with dementia, looked so much like my late Dad and Uncle and of course with the surname being the same as mine, I was intrigued, wondering if we are related.

The next day one of my cousins on my Dad's side phoned (we aren't often in touch but he knows I have been looking into that side of the family tree) asking about our relatives as he too has seen the report and was struck by the likeness too, especially as he looks like his Dad, my uncle, and my Dad.

I would love to get hold of these people to find out if we are related and wonder if anyone can help me please? I have no idea what part of the country they are from.
