Two members have A George Gardiner born 1943 in 'Scotland' in their GR trees.

Jacqueline - thanks for that - I had not heard of Scotlands People - I have found the marriage in 1941 in Aberdeen and the birth of George Gardiner in Aberdeen in 1943. Think this must be the correct records, so will work from there!

Thanks for all the replies -
I do not know when my Dad was married to Janet Rennie, I only have the information of an older cousin, who was sworn to secrecy and did not tell us until after both our parents died. She was involved in helping him get a divorce in the seventies. She has no paperwork, she may have even not remembered his forst wife's name correctly for all I know. My father was born in London, Norwood in 1921. I thought they would have lived in this area because my cousin said she had known the son and played with him before my Dad split up with Janet Rennie, and that she had taken her son and gone back to Scotland to her family, and my Dad did not know where she was until she requested a divorce in the seventies. Sorry, I feel this is a bit of a wild goose chase, but I would like to get to the truth of the matter. I cannot find a marraige in England, or the birth of the son who was called George.

When do you think your father married Miss Rennie?

Have you looked for info?

Why do you think the child was registered in Lambeth?

I think you'd stand more chance of finding info on Scotland's people

I am looking for George Gardiner born between approx 1939 and 1958 to George henry Gardiner and Janet Gardiner nee Rennie? He would be my half brother, as my father George Henry Gardiner was married twice. He would have been registered in Lambeth and lived in Norwood /Dulwich area of London. I think his mother took him to live in Scotland at some point, once separated from my father. Thanks in advance for any help!
