Welcome to the boards, Lorraine.

Have you tried looking on free bmd for more accurate birth and parent information?

Between 1940 and 1950 there are only two births for Edward Thomas born in Bristol area. One mother is Smith the other is Grimes.

Do you know anything about 'Monty' - approximate date or place of birth, and possible other names (Montgomery? Montague?)

Seeing as you have an address, your best bet is to look at old electoral rolls at the library closest to Whiteladies Rd. This means you can confirm names.

Don't no ,I haven't been on here for a while . When I looked at my tree the name Hunt was on it as the partner of Monty Thomas.

patchem

patchem Report 9 Feb 2015 21:49

Sorry, I do not understand.

Do you mean that you have got in your tree Ms Hunt as married/partner to Monty Thomas, but you cannot remember where you got this information from?

Shirley~I,m getting the hang of it Report 11 Feb 2015 08:05

If the mmn is Hunt on your tree then you must have put it on because no one can add to your tree

Where did you get the name Hunt from ?

Is your mum able to give you any more info . Or any other family member

You may have to look at old electoral rolls to see who was listed at the address at the time

Or if you think that death for many is the right one then the informant on the cert could be family
