trying to find adopted siblings

Thank you so much for your response yes sorry they were adopted out of the family it came as a bit of a shock to him he has both of their birth certificates .i have checked on here there are no matches i will tell him to try the Adoption contact register

Rachel- just so we are on the same wave length. When you say Adopted, you mean that they were adopted out of the family and that their names would have been changed.

Try searching all members trees to see if they are listed & send any tree owner a message. Your friend could create a free account on this site, and build a tree to include his birth siblings and birth parent(s) name(s). As a free member, he can receive messages and reply to them.

Find the relevant birth entry on http://www.freebmd.org.uk/cgi/search.pl and leave a 'Post'em with contact details - use a free email address specifically for this purpose

If your friend hasn't already, suggest that he adds his name to the Adoption Contact Register, and hope that they have as well

i know this is a long shot looking for Margaret Isherwood b 1941 in Cheadle .Cheshire and Harry Isherwood b 1937 in manchester ,Lancashire ,i am helping a friend to try located his adopted brother and sister any help gratefully recieved
