had some great help the last message is bob on I think this could be right I sent Linda a message on the 16th and the 20th but had no reply yet and I can't find any-other details for her hope she is still on genes reunited will keep trying thanks

Joyce had PMed me to let me know her family connection.

Despite identifying Linda and family on the current electoral roll, no contact info could be found. Fingers crossed she receives notifications from this site.

Unfortunately it looks like the listing I found is a bizarre coincidence ... a different Linda C who married a man with the same surname, in almost the same place and almost the same year !!

Joyce have you tried doing the search of members' trees and contacting Linda that way?

I'm PMing direct links to the search result and PM page for doing that.

still looking for more info

thank you all for your help, Brenda hibbert was married to Donald J Robson, Brenda was my great aunt, they had two children one Linda and Ian, wonder if they went abroad can't find any details of them anywhere.

I had wondered about one marriage in particular for Linda and it was correct.

as noted she is a member here and has Brenda in her tree


... actually she is on the current electoral roll and is listed in the telephone book

well that was a brain glitch !

my fingers were typing 'Farnworth' and my brain was thinking 'Farnham' :-)

... and then there's Farnborough ... lucky I didn't follow up on what I thought might be a possible marriage for one of the children in Hampshire !


I gave a direct link to the ER listing for Brenda and Donald at 192.com
but it shows only Donald in 2014

Use the GR facility 'search all member trees' to find whether anyone else on here is researching the family

When you do, you'll see that a member named LINDA has Brenda in her tree

Send her a contact message, and hope that she still has the same e-mail as she had when she joined GR.

If you don't get a reply, look for her under her current name at www.192.com

dates/ages always help a lot ...

Brenda and Donald would be well on in years now

but this could be them

unfortunately the children's names are too common to identify marriages

especially not knowing where they would have married ...


can you give an idea of your connection with them?


parents were married in Farnworth but children born in Lancashire?
