Hi Stella,

If its England/Wales they are £9-25 per certificate incl pp,

www.gro.gov.

Take note of the index details,,,,,Volume and Page,quarter of registration and place,as this will be asked for on the site.

They will not be dispatched in the same envelope and will be dispatched at different times,,,,,,read the site carefully for the 50 years clause.

Hi Stella,

To find the christian name of the mother and compare it would need the information on both birth certificates to compare the mothers christian name,it can be 99/9 % surety they both share the same mother.

Hi can any one tell me how to find out mothers name not surname as two birth indexes I have found both have the same mothers maiden name and I think they could be brothers.also is there any way I can find out how many children a woman has had. I can find births index but it stops there..I think she may have married and there names have changed as she was single when one or more where born. Thank you. Stella.
