Does it cost money to go on the adoption register?

For an adoptee its £15 to register CR 1 and for a birth relative its £30. CR2..they offer no tracing service ,you have to wait till a match shows either way,,then you as a birth relative or adoptee have to seek your own intermediary solutions as information isnt just forwarded.......
