in 1911 a family named Siddoway was living at 10 Corner House

the households before them in the book were at 8 and 10 Commercial St

and in fact the enumerator's page for the Siddoway household says Commercial St


in 1901 there were 3 Small households in Winlaton (William & Elizabeth, Thomas & Mary, Martin & Elizabeth) but none had an address that resembles that


Peter is this information that has come from a certificate of some kind?

how would you know the surname of someone living at a particular address ... but not know their complete name or the exact date?

As you have more than a dozen Small's in your tree born in Winlaton before 1911, which one are we meant to be looking for?

Was it a public house?

' "The Commercial", which was known as the Corner House' (from a google search)

Added:
Corner House was a pub in 1828, with an Andrew Liddle living there.

Added:
Corner Houses appears to be a street, as I have found someone living at No 22 in 1911 from a war memorial.

Cannot see any Smalls living there in 1911.

Is Winlaton now in Gateshead, and do you have any further information about Small, or where Corner Houses actually was - which street?
