Hi Peter

Warwick Smith born when and where?

Is Warwick his first name?

The NZ Electoral Rolls 1853-1981 show various people in Auckland and area with the surname Warwick Smith - or maybe they all have the same middle name of Warwick - perhaps it's an old family name.

There are also various people named Warwick (first name) Smith (surname) with a variety of middle names.
Do you know if he had a middle name?

Last trace was....when?

What else do you know about him?

Was he born in NZ?

Was he married?

Are you related?

Is he in anyone's tree on here?

Have you tried looking for info? The NZ phone book would be a starting place, I'd have thought

In Peter's tree, he is recorded as Warwick Saxon Smith, born Auckland 1949

Peter

It's easier for people to try to help if you give all the info at your disposal

the magic of google :-) ... for the name 'Warwick Saxon Smith'

http://notices.nzherald.co.nz/obituaries/nzherald-nz/obituary-preview.aspx?n=shirley-ann-smith&pid=170964027&referrer=2865

his wife's obituary from May of this year ... unfortunately though it refers to her husband Warwick as 'the late' so sadly he predeceased her

that death notice has been archived at the newspaper site but it would cost only $5 NZ to restore the details for viewing for 24 hours

the snippet visible names the hospital where she died ... very likely the full death notice would name the funeral directors responsible for the arrangements and a message could most likely be passed to family through them, or it might give enough information about family that you could find them in a telephone directory for instance

the 24-hour restoration of the death notice would also show any entries in the guest book which might also help contact friends or family

and yes Peter, you pay the same membership here no matter how many words you type, so it is always best to give enough info that someone can at least determine who you are talking about !
