I guess it was assumed you didn't have all that info since you mentioned only one child to her subsequent marriage, for instance, and as Rose pointed out there were several ... also, nobody else has the details that you have and that other members who help here need, for searching ... and other members do assume that if you post here you are looking for help searching :-)

there is almost never much chance of someone just showing up at this site with the info someone is looking for ... unless a person were to google one of the names in this thread and find it, or go looking themself for family ...

usually to find someone, one has to look for them ... that is why Rose and I suggested identifying those children and tracing their descendants ... any children of Charlotte's children would likely still be living and it might be possible to find them on electoral rolls, in telephone directories, on social media, etc.

when you say you already have 'that info' ... you know who signed Charlotte's death certificate?

my apologies about the Stratford/Stafford confusion, it is just that there is some error in the freebmd transcription and it appeared to be that this was the problem

Thanks,

Already have that info, and her birth was Stratford district, not Stafford (as in Stratford on Avon, Warks)

I'll keep fingers crossed that someone out there has some gossip for me

Lottie's death

Name: Charlotte Annie Jarvis
Birth Date: 10 Aug 1888
Date of Registration: Mar 1982
Age at Death: 93
Registration district: Bristol
Inferred County: Avon
Volume: 22
Page: 0874

Births Sep 1888
SILVESTER Charlotte Annie Stratford 6d 694
(should be Stafford not Stratford)

her death certificate could have been signed by one of her children and that could help find them now

here is where to search for the other chlidren's births as mentioned by Rose
http://www.freebmd.org.uk/cgi/search.pl

by surname and mother's surname

you can then search for their marriages and children's names

If you look on FreeBMD for Jarvis births with her maiden name you will see she had more children after Sidney.

I am looking for any living relatives of Charlotte or Lottie Silvester born 1888 in Clifford Chambers who would have been my great grandmother.
She married a Sidney Jarvis in Long Ashton and then I think lived in Bristol until her death in 1982.

She had 2 children in Alcester, Warwickshire in 1912 and my nan, in 1915 before leaving. I am interested in finding out anything about her during 1910 and 1930 as my research has run dry. Maybe someone knows the full story of why she left, or maybe there are some living relatives out there (I know there was at least one other Sidney born in 1921 in Bristol.) that may not know that she had other children at all.

My nan was Molly and she had 4 children of her own, most of whom are still in the Warwickshire area.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
She is on a couple of trees on here but I don't have access yet.

Love and good luck
Serena
