Does anyone know the whereabouts of the above named person as a long lost family relative is trying to make contact. Steven was born in 1952 in the region of Newcastle whose mother was Catherine and father named Kenneth who married in Berlin. All information in the strictest of confidence. Many thanks Diane :-) I am not very familiar with this site so hope I have n't given too much informatio away. P.S. Catherine originally came from Seaton Burn.

Diane - it might be best to edit out the days for the birth and marriage. Just leave the month and year :-)

I'm confused. You say that death is correct but that your friend wants to find her son?

Anyway, it's possible he married again.

Go to Search at the top and select Search All Member Trees. Look for Zoe Padmore and contact her. She appears to be in France.

The 'friend' wants to find Catherine's son, not her own son, is how I read it.

Diane

Advise your friend to get a copy of Catherine's death cert

Is your friend related to this man?

And bear in mind that NOTHING on these boards is confidential.........the whole world can read them

Jacqueline have just sent off for the death certificate for Catherine Whittaker nee Beldon so we will wait to see who the informant was ;-) If it was her son Steven then hopefully this will be the address he is still at, my friend is related to Steven and is anxious to make contact. Many thanks for your help you have been most kind :-)

Jacqueline, death certificate obtained for C Whittaker who eventually remarried! The informant is the sister I have her name and address but wonder if there is a site I can go on to obtain a telephone number. Last on the electoral role in 2013 and cannot find a death certificate so hoping she is still alive and well. regards Diane :-)

Try
www.thephonebook.bt.com

You do have to remember that listings are usually under the husband/male partners initial. However, as you have the address it should be easy enough to sort out.

If Catherine's sister is elderly, it really, really is best to write rather than phone. You have no idea of her health either physical or age-related mental capacity. It is MUCH better to write. That way she can phone you back, or talk to a relative about how to respond. Enclose a SAE and put your own address on the back of the envelope you post.

Another few days or even weeks isn't going to make much difference.
