how come when I search Electoral rolls I cant find a thing, am I doing this right. and.....how do I get hold of a death cert

Walter it would really be worthwhile to get Leonard's death certificate if you don't have it

if Betty was the informant of death, it should give you her proper name for sure

Leonard was born 1897 but Betty would probably have been younger to have a child now in her 60s (that is born after 1940) or Jeanette could be older

there are unfortunately too many marriages of an Edith E to a Goddard say 1925-1945 (18) to check easily for births, but you could try that tack by finding the marriages at freebmd and then searching for births with the two parents surnames

have you looked on FreeBMD to identify her birth it may help your search to have her age . you can then try to see if she married

I am trying to trace Jeanette Goddard, this is her maiden name. her mother Betty Goddard lived in Ramsgate, Kent with my Grandfather Leonard Wilkins Redsell. He died some years ago, I don't know if she is still alive as Im not sure of her age, I think she could be in her 60's
