So as far as you are aware there has been no contact since he was in his early 20's, about 40 years ago?

Did he actually go missing, or his brother just was not in touch but other family members were?

Could you add his parents to your tree, so that if anyone related to him happens to come looking they can contact you?

Not seeing any obvious marriage in Berkshire

His name isn't unique so there's umpteen records all over the country any or none could be him

Alan James Young,sorry I got the date wrong it should be 1950. The details you quote regarding his parents is correct. I believe he was last heard of in the Reading area,in the early 1970's where he worked. as a bus driver. As far as i know there has been no contact with him. I think he also went to university .
