Perhaps it is the one born in Eton in 1961? Not so far from Ruislip.

Alfred "Douglas" Smith is our shared biological parent. It is possible that Stephen was born in London because that is where he met my mother and where we were born and where my parents were married. I know their names through a very reliable source in addition to having a newspaper clipping with Susan and one of the boys at a fair.

Thank you all for your quick responses and look ups, I hope to one day be able to return the favour.

Tracey,

I do not think that any of us can find a Ste*en born in the North East.

Is he definitely from that marriage?

Thank-you

That Gwendoline Smith born in India from my previous posting is probably the one referred to in that Brentwood marriage, so ignore that suggestion.

Gwendoline Whiting born 1933, India, is in lorraine smith's tree on here.
Have you tried to make contact with her?

Shirley,
Do you mean these births for Douglas and Stephen, as too close together, and why Brentwood??

Have you looked to see if they are in anyone's tree on here?

Have you got accurate information about Gwendoline to see if she is in anyone's tree on here - and similarly for 'Douglas'?

You say that Gwendoline's hometown is Saltburn, but you have her as born in 1935, place unknown, on your tree on here.

The marriage to Smith gives her with no middle initial - cannot see any birth to match that, or any birth in the region.

Possibly you need the marriage certificate to get you started.

Searching for my half brothers and sister Stephen, Susan and Douglas Smith. They were born in the mid 50s to very early 60s. Their father was Alfred Douglas Smith, "Douglas" and their mother was Gwendoline (Whiting) whose hometown is Saltburn on Sea. "Douglas" was probably working as a truck driver for USAF out of RAF West Ruislip.
