	Elaine if you google, """adoption register south africa,""" there is a SA register for both adoptees and birth family to add thier names. in the hope either is being looked for.

Can't help you personally, but having tried a google search there seems to be a Facebook page where people are trying to contact South African relatives, might be worth posting on there: https://www.facebook.com/AdoptionReunionsSouthAfrica There also seems to be an adoption registry: http://www.adopteeconnect.com/p/a/160/aq/sa/ Have you contacted the organisation which arranged the adoption?
