also Mary (all basic info to start is always wise!) -- their parents' given names and also any middle names any of them had

their names are fairly common to be looking in records for.

if they went to NSW, for example, their death record in the searchable on-line index won't show their age, but should state their parents' given names (assuming that the person who reported their death knew them)

if you can identify deaths, the death certificate should name their spouse and children

NSW is the easiest state to search ... other states have similar indexes on line, with varying degrees of info available without paying.

for example, 1900-1983 there were 10 Mark Kings who died in NSW ... 3 were plain Mark with no middle name ... fathers were Norman, William, Austin, Maurice, Stanley, Frederick, John, Arthur

and that's it actually, so it looks like NSW was not a likely destination for them

If they emigrated before WW1 and the males were of military age, you might find their Australian service records on

Then Record Search
Name search along the green tab (you could also try Passenger Arrivals Index as a separate search)
Fill in the surname and select WW1 as the category of records.
If there are too many results, use the first name as a filter.

Unlike the UK, their records have survived.
You may also find previews of WW2 records in a new search, but as some may relate to living people, these are 'locked'.

If they went before 1960 you should find them on the passenger lists

Do you know names/birthplaces etc for your grandfather's siblings, or his parents? If so, you might try looking for matches by using search box above - if you find any, you can contact the tree owner.
If not, I advise you to make it a priority to get that info first.

On researching my Grandfathers family I found that some of his siblings emigrated to Australia and New Zealandso there is a great possibility I may still have some living relatives. Any ideas on how I would go about finding them.
