Painter born in Halifax who specialised in landscapes in watercolour and showed twice with the YUA towards the end of the 19th century. She also showed at the GI, RSA and RSW.

He married JESSIE NICOLL SMITH 17 Dec 1874 in St. Mary's, Dundee. She was born 30 Jan 1848 in Dundee, Scotland, and died 19 Mar 1948 in 'Fair Leigh', Ilkley.
