Janice

The 'marked as answered' tag - which GR refuse to remove despite repeated pleas from members - is designed to show that a request has been fully resolved, and no further action required

When you post a reply, we can see that you have acknowledged the help given..................

Do you actually want help - or not?

Thank you, Patchem.
I have done as you suggest, and it was the right person, but she didn't remember her grandparents and couldn't help.
I think I'll not pursue it any further.

If you try bt-online for the Franks, for Malton (as per the ER), then there is a DA Frank showing.

It is worth the price of a phone call.

I am new to this site & therefore not yet au fait with how it works.
Reggie says "As you have marked as answered, it will be assumed that you require no further help." but I thought I was just being polite in acknowledging that I had read your helpful messages.
I have done extensive research on the ancestors of all these people and also know many of the dates, children etc. I was hoping to be able to contact one of them.
I looked in the phone book, but Buckrose district or Ryedale district, which are all I know, are not specific enough, Reggie.
Patchem -thank you. You have been very helpful.
Janice.

You said that Lucy became Mrs Lamb.

This looks like her birth, and possible subsequent death:

Births Mar 1936
SPOONER Lucy E Teasdale Malton 9d 581

Lucy Eleanor Lamb
Birth Date: 19 Jan 1936
Date of Registration: Jul 1998
Age at Death: 62
Registration district: Salisbury
Inferred County: Wiltshire
Register Number: A47C
District and Subdistrict: 7951A
Entry Number: 68

Have you looked for children for all the couples you have mentioned?

Look in 'search all trees'

Look in the phone book - as suggested earlier

As you have 'marked as answered' it will be assumed that you require no further help.

There is a Laura H Frank on the ER for Malton, 2009 - 2013, with Donald.

Have you got their birth years and looked to see if anyone has them in their trees on here?

Laura H. & Dorothy M. Stanley, granddaughters of Thomas & Ellen (Nellie) Teasdale;
Lucy E. & Florence M. Spooner, " " "
Laura married Donald Frank; Dorothy became Mrs MacInnes;
Lucy became Mrs Lamb; Florece became Mrs Metcalfe.
I'm hoping that they, or one of their children might be able to tell me more about Thomas & Ellen.
My husband's late mother had fond memories of her Auntie Nellie, whom she was named after.

See who are listed with those surnames in the area on

These surnames are found in several peoples' trees on here in the areas of Buckrose, Ryedale and York.

Have you tried to contact them, and, as Shirley has asked, can you be any more specific with dates or first names?

Thank-you

Shirley~I,m getting the hang of it
