No obvious marriage of her parents but don't despair. As this took place relatively soon after the end of WW1 a lot of war widows married for the 2nd time during that period. When they did so they married under their previous married surname rather than their maiden surname so that might explain why no Clark/Finlayson marriage appears. Incidentally the Clark/Finlayson marriage in 1924 in Kingston is not your couple.

Obtain a copy of Phyllis's birth certificate to discover her parents forenames then check again for a marriage using her father's forename and surname but only her mother's forename.

Good luck.

We aren't part of heir hunters !

If they can't find what happened to Margaret then can't see how we could help as they probably have more access to info than we have .

Phyllis isn't a mystery. Her marriage and death has been found as well as she only had the one son Bernard.

What isn't readably obvious is the parents of Phyllis but one of the birth certs would give that info

Buy a copy of her marriage cert...........easy solution.

What gives you the idea that GR is part of Heir Hunters? It isn't..................

Heir Hunters is the name of a BBC programme....not the name of any company or organisation

Pam,

Whilst a copy of Phyllis's marriage certificate may help it will only give you her father's name if indeed she knew and disclosed it. Her birth certificate however should give you both her parents names. Far better to obtain a copy of her birth certificate so that you may then be able to trace her ancestry.

Assuming that the birth found is actually for the right woman...............

I know is long away from all your findings, but I have found part of what I have been looking for, have been contacted from BMD Leeds because of my cousin's ( Bernard Nunn b 1946 ) demise, have just about found my research, not all, but most, with your help, has been a big help to me, I do thank everyone of you for your input.

Pam ;-)
