Yes he is on the birth cert. i will have to check with my sister .Never thought to ask her that. Thanks

Is he named on her birth cert? that way at least you would have perhaps a middle initial if he had one

Yes . We wouldn't contact him or his family without a lot of thought. From what my sister remembers people new about her. We just wondered if he had married and my sister could have more family out there.

George is my sisters father, My sister met him a few time when she was young, I think he wanted to be in her life but my mum had married my dad by then. Sadly my mum has just died so it had made my sister want to know more about her father.
She met her grandparents once in a place called Murton. Co Durham

As you say there are quite a few and without knowing where and when born or who his parents were its difficult to pin point the correct one

MY sister thought his dad could be called dan, but she was very young when she met them. Not 100% Don't know anything else.

Hi, Just wondered if anyone knows where to LOOK for George Whittle who worked on the Bedlington Railways around 1948 . Think he was in his 20s. At that time, too many in births to find the right one. Think his parents lived in Murton Co Durham as my sister saw him there once. Grateful for any help. Thanks Sue.
