I'm looking for any information or relatives on my Dad's side...

Have you applied for his birth certificate for the names of his parents?

Once you have that we can look for their marriage and any siblings.

Who - in their right mind - thought my post of the 13th warranted reporting?

You may not want to put it here if it is sensitive or about living people, but you should really say that you have it, for instance that you know he had brothers or sisters.

The big question would be, do you know who your father's parents, your grandparents, were.

That is why Reggie said you need his birth certificate, but if you know that already ... ?

That is the essential part if you are to find any relations.

Even if you only know who has mother was, and anything you know about her, for instance if you know when or where she died ...

This person has DAVID in his family tree so there MUST be a link !!
Only one David born in BRISTOL in 1943

HIS MOTHER IS A LEWIS BORN IN BRISTOL IN 1941

Reggie and Jonnie thank you both for your input. As you've asked yes i do have some other information but as it is sensitive i have chosen not to share it with the world. I have done the obvious in searching for siblings etc but to no great avail.

His parents are not confidential, are they?

Birth cert is on its way to be 100% sure but at present i believe his parents were David J Lewis and Elizabeth M Prescott. I'm mainly interested in living relatives, I know there was a sister but i'm unable to find any further info on her.

That marriage was Carmarthen in 1941, so his birth away from their marriage place.

There are 2 female births on free bmd for possible children of that marriage, in 1941 and 1949 in Carmarthen
There are also births in West Glamorgan, but look too late

Have you looked for deaths of his parents to find out information on the informant?

Yes. He was married before as well and had a son who may not know I exist.
