Thank you for your interest Rose. Was wondering which house you mean as I didn't include John's address in my post. The address was in Waitakere City, Auckland. My sister has written to the address and is waiting for a reply. If this is the house you mean and you know any more about the occupants before it sold I'd love to hear from you.

The house sold in 2011. Perhaps you could write to see if the new owners have a forwarding address.

Looking for John Sommerville, who in 2001 placed an online appeal in Scotland for relatives of his late mother Patricia Cole Rafferty, born in 1943. He gave his name, address in New Zealand, phone number and email address. Unfortunately I have only just found this posting during my online search for Patricia (my aunt), and all his information is no longer correct. Patricia was born in Scotland and emigrated to Australia in the mid 1960's. She left our home in Adelaide in the late 60's to live and work in remote South Australia. She wrote one letter to her sister but did not put a return address on it so my mother was unable to reply to it. We never heard from her again, nor did her remaining family in Scotland. The possibility remains that she may have gone to New Zealand. If any one knows of Patricia or John, our family would really appreciate your help.
