Head Office is probably the best place to start. You already know his birth name, date of birth and roughly when he was adopted.

Good luck in your quest <3

Thank you Detective, that's a really good idea, would I contact the main office?

Thank you again for your advice.

Your tree is the only one where he is listed

Have you contacted Barnados? Would they be willing to put a letter with his file written by your mum, or if she is no longer able, by you?

There was a thread on here at the end of last year. The thread originator was adopted but eventually wanted to find his birth parents. When he was given access to his file, he found letters written to him by his mother, with additional letters each time she moved.

You never know - when he is ready he might find you.

Hi Detective, my mum went to see him every week till he was about 18 months old, Bernardo's told her she had to sign as ready for adoption as she could not see him no more due to his age, it wasn't till I received his birth certificate and it said he was adopted that we knew he had been adopted.
Yes I have searched trees not that I'm very good at this and I added my name to the contact register.

Thank you for your response.
Ebbie. :-)

Welcome to the boards Ebbie

As the page number on the gro index has been changed to 7481/S, it looks as if he was adopted.

To your knowledge, did he stay with his mother? MIght she have later married? Could her partner/spouse have adopted him or was he adopted out?

Presumably you have done the obvious
- searched All members trees on this site
- added your name and his to the Adoption Contact register.
