192.com does get updated on an annual basis. From that point of view that means that they have either opted out since 2008 or moved.

Just to explain - the Electoral Roll can be sold by Councils to commercial which organisations ones such as 192.com, peopletracer, findmypast and even GR can add to their websites. Since 2003 the electorate have been able to specify on the annual form if they don't want their details included. Hence, opting out.

The full ER is available to view in person, the current one is normally held at the Council Offices. The full ER can only be searched by address. You could contact Swanley Council and ask if they will tell you who is currently living there.

If they refuse, try contacting the North West Kent Family History Association to see if one of their members would do the honours

Shirley, and +++DetEcTive+++ I thank you both for your help and advice. Yes I also tried face book and went onto 192, which is showing, if it is updated, that the family is there. I used g/maps and saw the house .
So I have tried to be pro-active but as I said before S.A. is a long way or I would catch a train because in U.K. you have the most amazing public trans port.

Hi Susan - no Shirley doesn't know them. Like the vast majority of members she is just trying to help.

They aren't listed on the BTonline phone book at that address, nor has the house been sold via an Estate Agent as listed on Zoopla.

Have you tried Facebook, especially for Simon-Andrew, or Friendsreunited? If you've drawn a blank on both, then not only write to their address, but also to the immediate neighbours.

Yes, thanks thats how i found info about them electoral roll, so really it is back to letter writing as i am in South Africa!

They are on the electoral roll in Swanley to 2008 may gave opted out .have you tried their last address
