I am trying to trace any relatives of Kathleen Duffy (Giles) who was married to James Duffy in 1945. Her father was Edward Henry Giles and they lived in Southend on Sea. Edward died in 1970 just obtained his death certificate and knew nothing about Kathleen.

There appears to be a possible marriage for her in 1958 - but then the information on the death certificate would be wrong?
(To John B Lench, 1958, Rochford)

Or to Frederick J Pitcher in 1973, Southend.

From pm received, have asked Susan to return here:

'Edward married Lillian Sherriff in 1914 and had 3 children that we know of Lillian 1914, Leonard 1917 and Edward 1920 and they lived in Plymouth he was in the RGA. Next I pick him up in Southend in 1929 being a postman. '

Was Edward from Ireland and in the military in 1911 census?

It might be worth getting the marriage certificate for Kathleen, just to confirm.

Seems that this Kathleen was also married to LENCH as married under Lench & Duffy in 1973
So in 1970 should have been Lench ?
