I am searching for relatives of David George Brady, D.o.B 29.1.1962, born in Peterborough. Mother's name Gladys May Brady, Father Ronald and one time living in Berkshire. If anyone can help me with information I would be extremely grateful.

Could you say what your connection to him is?

Do you know if Gladys and Ronald are still alive, and have you got dates/years of birth for either of them?

Where have you looked to try and find him, and when was he living in Berkshire?

Thank-you

I am the grandmother of his two daughters. D.o.B. of Gladys is 21.7.1926 and she died 16.1.1988. I know nothing about Ronald. David was living in Berkshire until very recently.

I think that he might have died very recently.

Yes, I was aware of that hence my search for relatives but thank you.

Can you tell me how you came by this information and what your interest is please.

If you knew that he had died, do you know who attended the funeral who could be a relative?

Have you looked on free bmd for his birth, and then looked for others with the same surname and mother's maiden name who will be his siblings?

Added:
I found some of this information by just doing a google search on his name.
I have no connection to him, I am just helping on here.

Finding Gladys May Bloy is not that obvious, either.

Gladys is down in someone's tree on here as being born in Terrington Marsh, Norfolk - worth contacting the tree owner?

There certainly isn't any record of a marriage on FMP.....!

Thanks for all your messages. Dave and my daughter split over 10 years ago when his alcoholism became too problematic and which appears to have eventually caused his demise. We know very little about about him or his family and there has been no contact since their split. My grand-daughters have to come to terms with the fact that they will now never know their father and so I thought I would try and compile a family tree for them. I have the death certificate for Gladys and I know that Dave had a twin brother, another twin brother and sister and another brother and sister. I have found birth information on all of them but not applied for certificates so far.. During the time we knew him there was no obvious contact with any of them. I am not looking for contact only more up-to-date information.

Many thanks for all your help which is much appreciated.

Possibly Glady's birth:

Births Sep 1926 (>99%)
Rust Gladys M Rust Wisbech 3b 791

Given that fraternal twins can run on the mother's side, these could have been siblings:

Births Mar 1928 (>99%)
Bloy Pansy Rust Wisbech 3b 766
Bloy Peggy Rust Wisbech 3b 766

Sadly, they both died.

Thanks but I do not think these are relations I am looking for. I am not related to any of these people, the only link I am looking for is to David Brady.

Gladys appears to have died in Henley - do you know if the rest of the family moved there? Name of informant on death certificate could be useful.

When you say more up to date information I was assuming you meant marriages for David's siblings and births of their children?

Have you considered contacting the Crematorium/undertakers to see if you can find out any more useful details?

patchem

patchem Report 13 Oct 2013 10:54

The births I posted were of what I thought were David's siblings - are these the wrong ones?

Unknown Report 13 Oct 2013 11:35

No, the names you gave are David's siblings - that is about all the info we know to be correct. There were no relatives given as next of kin, I think he was in some sort of hostel. The mother's death was registered by one of the daughters and I think I have found a marriage for her but the trail has stopped there for the time being.
